An introduction to my company EVT.

Entertainment. Ventures. Travel (EVT) began its business in 1910 when seven Australian pioneers became the biggest film company for Union Theatres and Australasian Films.

In the 1920's business opportunities grew as Hollywood did! American films entered Australia and EVT distributed t75% of these films across Australian cinemas.

Moving to 1980 when Alan Rydge was appointed the role of chairman for EVT. Where he acquired ACE Cinema which further included the control of Noah's and Hospitality Inn hotel chain.

Now if you're thinking hmm, Rydge, that name seems awfully familiar. Don't worry because it is! In 1988 the first Rydges hotel was opened in Canberra.

Now let's fast forward to 2023 where EVT won the Global Achievement In Exhibition Award at CinemaCon! However, they have not stopped there. EVT prides themself on focusing on the future more specifically, how and where can they expand!

Today EVT have outdone themselves by providing global cinema experiences from, Event Cinemas, BCC Cinemas, Rialto Cinemas, Embassy Theatre and Cinestar. They didn't stop there as they have over 80 hotels running in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, 43 of which are Rydges hotels!
