Assignment 1 Step 3 - At First Glance

So, you want to know more about EVT… well that makes two of us! When I first received my company, I was ecstatic to dive in deeper to find out everything I could. EVT was founded in Australia in 1910, however since then its business has developed internationally. The more digging I had done the more I had found. The company's name really means entertainment subcategorised into bars and restaurants, indoor and outdoor cinemas, movies on demand, theatres and wellness. Ventures are subcategorised into property portfolios, development projects, hotel management, media and sponsorship, entertainment technology services, and wholesale opportunities. Travel explores over 80 hotels in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore including the head lease to Thredbo Resort which is renowned for being Australia’s Best ski resort. After reviewing what my company does I quickly became overwhelmed. It did not help that when locating my annual reports not only were each of them over 110 pages but the company rebranded from “Event Hospitality & Entertainment Limited” to “EVT” in 2022. “Where do I even begin?” was my first thought on how I would complete Assignment 1.
